It’s quite telling that on one hand Democrats view Fidel Castro as this controversial but inspirational leader who advanced many great causes for the Cuban people and on another hand Democrats view Donald Trump as the devil incarnate, one who will cause great destruction to the United States and the world. Why are Democrats, liberals and progressives so bipolar when it comes to Fidel Castro and Donald Trump? How can Democrats be so objective about Fidel Castro a dictator who has oppressed Cuba for so many years talk so glowing about him but when it comes to Donald Trump they hold him in such contempt?
Watch these videos carefully:
Bernie Sanders: “everybody was totally convinced that Castro was the worst guy in the world”, this sounds very familiar to American politics today when talking about Donald Trump. “Just because Ronald Reagan dislikes these people is not to say the people in their own nations feel the same way”, you could say the same thing about Donald Trump and his supporters that just because the mainstream liberal media, the Democrat establishment, coastal liberal elites in New York, DC and California hate Donald Trump does not mean that the rest of the country and world does. “They forgot that he educated their kids, gave them healthcare and totally transformed the society, not to say that Fidel Castro or Cuba are perfect”, very interesting.
Notice this NY Times liberal journalist state that “the Castro that I grew up knowing as a child growing up in Liberia, was a Castro that fought the South African apartheid regime which the United States was propping up, Castro who sent Cuban soldiers into Angola, and helped to bring down apartheid South Africa”.
The similarities are striking between Donald Trump and Fidel Castro:
- Donald Trump wants to drain the swamp in Washington, DC and get rid of corruption, Fidel Castro went against the worlds most powerful country the United States
- Fidel Castro survived hundreds of assassination attempts, liberals openly talk about (jokingly) killing Trump and he has already been the victim of several attempts at his life
- Fidel Castro was a proponent of making sure everyone is educated and has free healthcare in Cuba, Donald Trump wants to repeal Obamacare and open up a more free market system where individuals have the flexibility to find healthcare they can afford and aren’t forced to pay, Trump also is in favor of school choice and wants to get rid of common core
- Fidel Castro was completely defiant in his opposition to the United States, there has been very few people who have been maligned by both political systems in this country than Donald Trump
- Fidel Castro and Donald Trump are both tough warrior like men but I think there are many differences between them
Stefan Molyneux analysis on Fidel Castro (video is a little over an hour but very in-depth)
The meaning of a dictator according to is “a ruler with total power over a country, typically one who has obtained power by force”. Donald Trump will not have total power of the United States, he did not obtain his power by force the American people elected him.
Let’s take a look at statements made by President Obama on Fidel Castro:

Statement by the President on the Passing of Fidel Castro
At this time of Fidel Castro’s passing, we extend a hand of friendship to the Cuban people. We know that this moment fills Cubans – in Cuba and in the United States – with powerful emotions, recalling the countless ways in which Fidel Castro altered the course of individual lives, families, and of the Cuban nation. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him.
For nearly six decades, the relationship between the United States and Cuba was marked by discord and profound political disagreements. During my presidency, we have worked hard to put the past behind us, pursuing a future in which the relationship between our two countries is defined not by our differences but by the many things that we share as neighbors and friends – bonds of family, culture, commerce, and common humanity. This engagement includes the contributions of Cuban Americans, who have done so much for our country and who care deeply about their loved ones in Cuba.
Today, we offer condolences to Fidel Castro’s family, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Cuban people. In the days ahead, they will recall the past and also look to the future. As they do, the Cuban people must know that they have a friend and partner in the United States of America.
This statement by President Obama is in my opinion very fair and neutral offering condolences while not praising him directly on anything specific. This was a strategic move by the president and I believe a smart thing to do. I do believe that President Obama looks up to what Fidel Castro did during his reign of Cuba but he understands the reality is that Castro committed many acts against his own people that should not be exonerated by anything positive he may have did.
The bipolar nature of Democrats is that they can take bits and pieces of the good that Castro may have done in the world and overlook the negative but they are completely unable to do the same thing for an American politician whom hasn’t killed anyone and only has his ideas which happen to run counter to the current political establishment. This facts show the totalitarian nature of the radical left that has consumed the modern day Democrat party, they do not accept anyone who disagrees with them and they would hold a dictator with a record of abuse and oppression and murder in high esteem (even if not publicly) over an American citizen that millions of Americans agree happen to agree with. When Donald Trump won the election against all odds that was democracy in action but the fact is Democrats don’t want democracy they want complete obedience to their ideas and perspectives above all us and if you challenge them, if you challenge the government, if you challenge Hollywood, if you challenge the media you have waged war against them and they are willing to cheat, lie, steal and change the rules if possible to defeat you. Because they believe the danger to their ideas and perspectives are that serious that they have to save us and the world from any encroachment. Democrats think that are right, why? because this society tells them they are right, academia, Hollywood, government, media all encourage them, they live in a world where nearly all of their friends think the same way, vote the same and believe in all the same ideas. We have gotten so far away from actual freedom and equality in America that’s its actually amazing that Democrats believe what they are doing is for the good of society. They are stuck in the matrix and are in desperate need of taking the red pill.
